Two friends…
One a dog diagnosed with a life-threatening disease, the other his human companion, and their unwavering commitment to each other.
Princeton, a loyal farm dog, was twelve years old when the diagnosis was made: bone cancer. Even with the best treatments available at the time, he was given approximately a year to live. Princeton, however, had other ideas. He defied his prognosis, and five years later became one of the longest known survivors of canine osteosarcoma.
Part adventure, part veterinary science, Princeton – A Love Story is at its heart an engaging tale of the extraordinary relationship between a man and his dog as they travel through much of Western and Northern Canada while battling the disease that threatens to destroy their unique bond. As they navigate highways, wilderness, and veterinary hospital visits, Princeton and Terry not only form many friendships, but also leave a lasting impression on everyone they meet.
Princeton – A Love Story is available for purchase:
Of particular note are third party sellers on Amazon. Corner Tree Press is the official distributor of Princeton—A Love Story and, as such, is very much aware of all books distributed to Canadian bookstores. Companies such as Indigo/Chapters and other Canadian bookstores have their own online sales platforms and do not sell through Amazon. Amazon, however, allows third-party sellers to advertise and sell used or worn copies of the book as new. Corner Tree Press and other publishers have not been successful in getting Amazon to take action against these sellers, as doing so appears to be contrary to their business model.
As a result, Corner Tree Press will be selling copies of Princeton—A Love Story directly to those who wish to purchase online. These copies will, of course, be new and sent directly from the distributor. Alternatively, stores such as Indigo will also fulfill online sales with new copies. If you must purchase a copy from Amazon, please choose the option “Sold by Corner Tree Press/Ships from Amazon.” This will ensure that you receive a new copy.
Please support a Canadian author, a Canadian publisher, and others who work within the Canadian book publishing industry. This will ensure that Princeton continues his journey and that his memory continues to inspire.
With utmost gratitude,
